Shunt reactors
Shunt reactors manufactured by JSC “ZTR” are purposed for reactive power compensation in the transmission lines rated for voltage 35-800 kV. Reactors ensure increasing of the line transfer capability, reducing of electric power losses at its transformation, improving of the quality of electric power supplied to the users. Basic model of shunt reactors has been developed considering the experience of reactors operated in the power networks within 30 years. Design with core-type magnetic system with gapped-core was chosen as a basic model being the most reliable, economical and completely satisfactory for the customers’ requirements.
Neutral reactors
Neutral reactors manufactured by JSC “ZTR” are purposed for current limiting to the earth in case of breakdown in the transmission line. As a rule, such type of reactors have no magnetic system, are equipped with electromagnetic shields arranged outside and on the end surfaces of winding. Winding insulation is of oil-barrier type. Cooling system is of type ONAN.
Smoothing reactors
The main purpose of smoothing reactors manufactured by JSC “ZTR” is reduction of ripple of current rectified by the converter in DC transmission lines, as well as overcurrent and overvoltage limiting at transient condition modes. Smoothing reactors are purposed for operation with high-capacity converter units rated for high and super-high voltages from ±100 kV up to ±750 kV. Their stored energy is rather high and makes up from 220 up to 3000 kJ. Service experience of smoothing reactors in operation proves their high level of serviceability.
Special-purpose reactors
On the request of the Customer, the special reactor types purposed for various scopes of industries of Ukraine and CIS countries can be designed, namely:
- Current-limiting reactors.
- Compensating reactors for thyristor compensators.
- Filter reactors.
