ZTR handball club is a pride of our company 

Handball club was established on October 14, 1992 and named after the trade mark of one of the worldwide leaders of transformers manufactures - ZTR.

ZTR team is the successor of handball traditions of outstanding ZII team.  

After visiting the company, the team players and coaches were admired by the scale of “Zaporozhtransformator”. They were lavished both with care and exactingness. In a response the team has started to play and train with a particular spirit. 

The first championship of Ukraine and first victory, hard and really “wrested” during the last handball match of the ca championship!

Since that time «ZTR» is a champion!»  slogan has become not only a catchword but also the requirement to the team.

«ZTR» handball club is a real pride of the company, region and Ukraine as a whole. Our players impetuously rushed into European handball club elite. Twice were ranked in a quarter final of Champion League of European countries, eleven times were the national champions.   

The team has trained ten international masters of sport, scores of sport masters.  Over the whole period after the club establishment the players have being the core of the national combined team.

Today «ZTR» handball club is the leading professional handball club of Ukraine with its own well-developed infrastructure, sport base, interconnection with National University leading chairs, fanats in the city and within the country.
